The Certified Associate Business Manager (CABM) is a professional certification with the scope of a mini-MBA. The CABM is to a mini-MBA as the CPA is to accounting, as the PMP is to project management, and as the CFA is to finance.
It can be a stand-alone Credential or used in conjunction with an MBA or corporate leadership programs. The CABM covers the Horizontal Knowledge you need to reach your Career Launch Point sooner in your career.
Hear from Sean in the USA about his experience with the CABM:
“I have nothing but good things to say about the CABM review materials. My job as an accountant leads me to have a somewhat unpredictable schedule (especially around our monthly close of the books) so I do my best studying on my own schedule. Not only did I learn new material (Marketing module, Operations module) but the Accounting and Finance Modules helped me brush up on some skills that I haven’t used since I obtained my undergraduate degrees 5 years ago. Plus these are skills that I’m sure I will need down the road The best thing by far about the CABM review material was that after every theory, concept, formula, etc. there was an example to go with it. When I had an hour free as opposed to 3-4 hours I simply took out the “What is your MBA IQ” and studied from that as well. That book was helpful in particular in that it summarized much of the material online. Best approach I take to studying the material online is to read the material once, take down short hand notes of new concepts, theories, etc. After that, read the material again, this time without taking any notes. Most people tend to do the opposite I understand. As far as the quizzes were concerned, to be honest, because I was on a tight schedule (preparing for year end close, holidays, etc) I never got around to taking the comprehensive quiz online. If I could do it over again that would be the one thing I would have done differently. It was a bit easier for me because I’ve had the exposure on college and my career to the business/accounting environment and I’m currently studying for my CMA credential. I am very pleased and proud to say that the studying paid off. “
