University Pathways for the CABM/CBM Credentials
APBM is establishing educational pathways with leading colleges and universities at the graduate level for the CABM/CBM Credentials where the CABM/CBM may:
- provide differentiation in the admissions process,
- ensure readiness for the rigor of an MBA program, and/or
- provide credit/waiver of certain prerequisites/core classes, depending on the university.
Current educational pathways include:
University of Chicago Booth School of Business
The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is one of the leading business schools in the world, offering multiple MBA programs -- a full-time MBA program, an evening MBA program, a weekend MBA program located in Chicago; and executive MBA programs in Chicago, London and Singapore. Booth recognizes the CABM/CBM credential as part of the evaluation process as one of the many important certifications that business professionals obtain throughout their careers. As with other certifications, the CABM/CBM does not guarantee admission to any Booth program, but provides an additional point of information regarding academic accomplishments in the evaluation process. CABM/CBM certificate holders should have their transcripts sent to the appropriate MBA admissions program along with any other application components. Please visit ChicagoBooth.edu for more information regarding our MBA programs.
Kellogg School of Management (KSM) at Northwestern University
APBM encourages CABM Certificants to apply to the Full-time MBA program and CBM Certificants to apply to the Executive, Full-time, or Part-time MBA programs, beginning with the 2010 academic year.
The CABM/CBM Certificant must be active and in good standing with the APBM to have his/her transcript be sent to Kellogg and be part of the applicant's file.
The CABM/CBM Credentials do not guarantee admission to any of Kellogg's MBA programs, cannot be substituted for other admissions criteria, and are weighed in the same fashion as other academic accomplishments in the applicant's file.
Please visit www.kellogg.northwestern.edu for additional details regarding all of Kellogg MBA programs.
