Chicago Non-Profit Organization Gives Back to Community During Tough Times and Offers “Hometown Advantage Scholarship”
The Association of Professionals in Business Management Offers Business Professionals a Cost-Effective Alternative for Business Education
(Chicago, IL)— Illinois unemployment reached an all time high of 11%. As a result, whether you are in a career transition or have a job, investing in your business education is even more vital.
The Association of Professionals in Business Management (APBM), a non-profit educational organization headquartered in Chicago, has a mission now to give back to the community and help others advance in their careers to become more marketable. The APBM is offering a scholarship to Illinois residents interested in its two business management certification programs. This scholarship will help candidates pay for one-third of the fee of the entire program until January 31, 2010.
The APBM offers The Certified Associate Business Manager (CABM) Credential and The Certified Business Manager (CBM) Credential. The CABM is ideal for entry-level to mid-level managers, and the CBM is ideal for mid-level to senior-level managers. Both credentials enable candidates to demonstrate proficiency in every key functional area of business management, thus becoming more valuable to employers, as follows:

CABM/CBM Pricing with the Hometown Advantage Scholarship
An individual can save $300 when earning the CABM Credential, bring the net cost to $688.
An individual can save $1200 when earning the CBM Credential, bring the net cost for all four parts to $2,488.
Eligibility Requirements for the Hometown Advantage Scholarship
To qualify, an individual must:
- Have a valid and current Illinois drivers license (a copy will need to be provided)
- Must have an Illinois shipping address
- Must be employed in Illinois (must submit a current resume)
