Harvard Business School Case Study

Harvard Business School presented a case study on the APBM mission and the CBM Credential in March 2006 to its MBA students. The case focused on making business management a profession, which is the mission of the APBM, similar to law, medicine, engineering, and accounting. APBM mission is accomplished through CBM Credential, providing Certification, Continuing Education, and Code of Professional Ethics. The case delved into the history of business school curricula and the changing landscape of business education today, and discussed the need for standards in management education standards and their applicability to non-MBAs and MBAs, similar to the bar exam for law school graduates.
