President & CEO - Ms. Devi Vallabhaneni

Ms. Devi Vallabhaneni received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Major in Accountancy and graduated with high honors. Devi’s career started at Arthur Andersen’s Litigation Services practice in Chicago where she worked on numerous damage claims projects for large litigation matters. She then helped start the Litigation Services practice at Arthur Andersen’s Singapore and Hong Kong offices.

 

Returning back to school, Devi received her MBA from the Harvard Business School. With her MBA, Devi worked for Gap, Inc. in international business development as well as Gap Online’s business development where she was responsible for devising expansion strategies for Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy brands. After Gap, Devi worked in equity research focusing on specialty retailing at Montgomery Securities in San Francisco. Companies such as Gap, Ann Taylor, Abercrombie & Fitch, and the Limited were amongst her coverage. Prior to joining the Association, she served as Senior Director, Business Development for NextDoor Networks, an internet company focusing on digital infrastructure for service-based businesses.

 

She is a CABM, CBM and a CPA and has completed Part I of the CFA exam. She has coauthored review books to prepare for professional certification exams in the business fields. She is the daughter of Professor Vallabhaneni.

 

She is on the board of Harvard Business School Club of Chicago.

 

Certifications and Exams - Professor S. Rao Vallabhaneni

Professor S. Rao Vallabhaneni is an educator, author, publisher, and practitioner in the business field with more than 30 years of management experience in manufacturing, finance, auditing, accounting, and information technology. He has taught at several universities in Chicago, Illinois, teaching finance, accounting, auditing, and operations to undergraduates and graduate business students.

 

Professor Vallabhaneni founded SRV Professional Publications in 1990 to serve theknowledge needs of business professionals. He has written more than 50 trade books, study guides, and review materials for the CIA, CISA, CCP, CISSP, CITP, SSCP, and CBA professional certification exams. Click here for a list of his publications. Professor Vallabhaneni holds four master’s degrees in management, accounting, industrial/ systems engineering, and chemical engineering. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Development Program at the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business.

He holds 24 professional certifications in the business field, including CABM, CBM, CIA, CISA,CBA, CFSA, CFE, CPA, CMA, CGFM, CCP, CDP, CSP, CISSP, ABCP, CITP, CPIM,CQA, CQIA, CQM, CSQE, CRP, CPM, and PHR in the areas of management,auditing, accounting, finance, human resources management, information technology, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing. Marketing & Branding - Kim Winkelmayer

Kim Winkelmayer joined APBM in 2005 as the head of marketing and branding. She is a specialist in new brand development. “As we set out to make business management a profession, it is imperative that we communicate our brand benefits and goals in a meaningful way. We draw on public relations, strategic partnerships, visual collateral and interactive media to connect with our constituents,” she explains.

 

Kim is an entrepreneur in her own right, having co-founded Finale Desserterie & Bakery, known as one of the United States’ finest dessert restaurants. After graduating from the Harvard Business School, Kim launched the unique dessert concept with the intention of building the universally recognized brand of super premium desserts. US News and World Report recently identified Finale as the leader and pioneer in its fast growing category.

 

Before attending the Harvard Business School, Kim was a journalist. She covered the Oklahoma City Bombing, the Gulf War and the O.J. Simpson Trial, among other stories for ABC News. Winkelmayer has been a featured speaker to business associations, business schools, alumni groups, colleges and universities on the subjects of entrepreneurship, marketing and brand building from the ground up.

 

Kim received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business. Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, tennis and learning German.

 

Accreditation & Certification - Rori Ferensic

Rori Ferensic has over 20 years of experience in developing, growing and managing association based certification and education programs. She is a senior program manager with SmithBucklin, the world’s largest association management company. As a senior program manager, Rori manages the Education and Program Services (EPS) Unit in the Washington, DC office. In addition to managing EPS, she serves as the Director of Education and Certification for the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS), a SmithBucklin client, where she is responsible for overseeing the administration of NAMSS’ educational conferences and on-line learning initiatives as well as overseeing the ongoing development and administration of the Certified Professional in Medical Services Management and Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist certification programs.

 

Prior to joining SmithBucklin, Rori held the position of Director of Professional Development and Credentialing at the American Academy of HIV Medicine, where she was responsible for developing and managing the Academy’s education programs, study guides and the AAHIVM HIV Specialist credentialing program. She also held the positions of Director of Education and Training at the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, where she was responsible for designing, developing and implementing a national training and certification program for the electronic systems industry and Director of Certification at the Association for Financial Professionals, where she was responsible for the design, implementation and administration of numerous programs in certification, executive education and international initiatives.

 

Rori is a member of ASAE and the Washington Area Certification Networking Group. She holds the Certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management from the Institute of Organization Management, sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Rori received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland.
