Our Business Ethics Partner

The Oath Project envisions a day when business leaders will hold themselves to the higher standard of integrity and service to society that is the hallmark of a true professional. At this day, both the schools that prepare them and the organizations in which they work will understand the reach, responsibility, and impact managers have on the well being of people inside and outside their organizations.  The Oath Project seeks to leverage its “network of networks” to encourage all business leaders to hold themselves–and each other–to the higher standard of integrity and service to society that is the hallmark of a true professional by providing the tools necessary to integrate the concepts of professional conduct and social responsibility into the culture, core values, and day-to-day operations of both academic institutions and corporations.

Business School Pathways

APBM is establishing educational pathways with leading colleges and universities at the graduate level for the CABM/CBM Credentials where the CABM/CBM may:

  • provide differentiation in the admissions process,
  • ensure readiness for the rigor of an MBA program, and/or
  • provide credit/waiver of certain prerequisites/core classes, depending on the university.

Current educational pathways include:

University of Chicago Booth School of Business
The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is one of the leading business schools in the world, offering multiple MBA programs — a full-time MBA program, an evening MBA program, a weekend MBA program located in Chicago; and executive MBA programs in Chicago, London and Singapore.  Booth recognizes the CABM/CBM Credentials as part of the evaluation process as one of the many important certifications that business professionals obtain throughout their careers.  As with other certifications, the CABM/CBM does not guarantee admission to any Booth program, but provides an additional point of information regarding academic accomplishments in the evaluation process.  CABM/CBM certification holders should have their transcripts sent to the appropriate MBA admissions program along with any other application components.  Please visit ChicagoBooth.edu for more information regarding our MBA programs.

Harvard Business School
For its full-time two-year MBA program, the Harvard Business School (HBS) recognizes the CABM/CBM Credentials as additional academic work to be considered in a candidate’s application.

CABM/CBM certification holders who apply to HBS should upload their score reports to the HBS online application. APBM will then send the official CABM/CBM Transcripts to HBS for admitted candidates.

Indian School of Business (ISB)
Ranked among the top 15 global business schools, The ISB in Hyderabad, India has recognized the CABM/CBM Credentials as an additional qualification as part of its interview and admissions process to their one-year full-time Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM). There are between 4,000 and 5,000 individuals applying for approximately 400 highly competitive and coveted seats at the ISB, which is ranked among the top 15 global business schools. An interview, therefore, plays an important role in the admissions process, and the CABM/CBM Credentials are additional qualifications that could be factors in the interview and admissions process.

Kellogg School of Management (KSM) at Northwestern University
APBM encourages CABM Certificants to apply to the Full-time MBA program and CBM Certificants to apply to the Executive, Full-time, or Part-time MBA programs.

The CABM/CBM Certificant must be active and in good standing with the APBM to have his/her transcript be sent to Kellogg and be part of the applicant’s file.

The CABM/CBM Credentials do not guarantee admission to any of Kellogg’s MBA programs, cannot be substituted for other admissions criteria, and are weighed in the same fashion as other academic accomplishments in the applicant’s file. Please visit www.kellogg.northwestern.edu for additional details regarding all of Kellogg MBA programs.

The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan
Michigan’s Ross School of Business provides students the flexibility to gain skills across all areas of business or to focus on a particular area of interest – from traditional areas such as strategy, marketing, and finance to other sectors such as sustainability, entrepreneurship, and emerging markets.

The differentiating factor of Ross, though, is teaching methodology – action-based learning.  It’s a unique approach that goes beyond case studies and allows students to directly apply what they’ve learned to the world of practice.  We provide challenging opportunities for students to apply their skills and develop new ones in team-based multidisciplinary projects.  For additional information about the Ross and our programs, visit http://www.bus.umich.edu/.

The Admissions Committees for Ross’ Full-time, Evening and Weekend Part-time, and Executive MBA programs recognize the CABM/CBM Credentials as supplemental academic work to be considered in the context of the candidate’s other application materials.  The CABM/CBM Credentials do not guarantee admission to Ross and cannot be a substitute for other required application materials. Applicants who are CABM/CBM certification holders should request that APBM send transcripts to Ross’ Office of Admissions.

The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania
For its full-time two-year MBA program, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania recognizes the CABM/CBM Credentials as additional academic work to be considered in a candidate’s application. APBM will send the official CABM/CBM Transcript to Wharton Admissions to be placed in the MBA candidate’s file.
